今年の夏の甲子園は、第100回の記念大会です。故郷の前橋育英の応援も兼ねて、２泊3日で大阪に来ました。＋１泊、おまけの白浜付きです。^^; 久しぶりの白浜泊で、美味しいお寿司屋さん見つけました。ホテル街から銀砂（ぎんざ）商店街を抜け、足湯のある交差点を右折すれば左側に『福重』さんが見えて来ます。５席のカウンターは満席で、最初は小上がりで、軽く一杯です。^^; 酒は、地元の熊野三山。辛口スッキリの刺身に合うお酒です。お通しは、ツメツブ。つぶ貝の仲間ですが、先に爪がついています。美味しい！高知で食べたチャンバラ貝と同じもののようです。カウンターが空いたので移動しました。まずは、あてに地物の刺身。メイチダイ、アジ、アオリイカ、ハモ、マグロです。メイチダイは、この近辺でとれるフエフキダイの仲間で、コクがあって美味い。(o^^o) お酒の２本目は、紀伊国屋文左衛門。先ほどの熊野三山とかなり口あたりが似ています。これまたグッドです。トコブシの煮付けは、しっかり味が付いていて、お酒が進みますね。（写真を撮る前に、ひとつ食べちゃいました。すいません。^^;）カマ焼きと、タコの唐揚げも頼み、最後に刺身が美味しかったメイチダイと、マグロを握ってもらいました。白浜の魚は、冬がさらに美味しいとのこと。また、季節を変えて来たくなっちゃいました。追伸。^^; 翌日、ランチにも来ちゃいました。

Fantastic. This place is incredible, and the best sushi I have had in Japan. Granted, I’m a foreigner, but I have lived in Japan for over 2 years and this place is as very impressive. Family run for 60 years, we got the omakase nigiri and were incredibly impressed, especially for the price. The quality and size of the fish was incredible. I would 100% recommend...

It's a MUST go place in Shirahama! If you ever go to Shirahama please go and try this place, and you will be happy for the whole day or evening. The photo I have attached is their sushi and tempura set which costs 2300 JPY, including TAX. You will be full and happy. The way they make their sushi or nigiri is like how they make on those food...

After all the good reviews we couldn't be wrong. The sushi was good but we felt that we were disturbing the chef in his private life. I mean for the price (8000 for 2) you expect some attention and explanation of what you're eating. The sushis were basic same as you could get...
