Somewhat famous spot in Shizuoka City that specializes in green tea ice cream & green tea flavored sweets. The green tea ice cream ranges from 1-7, with 1 being light green tea & 7 tasting like the green tea leftover at the bottom of the cup.

Staff knows a bit of English. No tables but 4 chairs by the entrance to sit down. You can toss you cup & spoon in the bin nearby & they take card payments.

Nanaya is a tea house run by Marushichi Tea, which was founded in 1907. The ‘World’s Richest Matcha Gelato’, made from premium quality Shizuoka matcha, has been featured in numerous media reports and captivated many tea and sweets lovers’ hearts alike.

There's 7-level of matcha gelato, we picked 2, 4 and 7, we prefer the 7th, as it's richest and generous aromatic of matcha. We also ordered sweet potatoes, black sesame and hojicha turned out I love black sesame.

The famous 7 levels of matcha gelato! I had the level 4 and it was just right for me. Not too sweet and already a very rich matcha taste. The black sesame is to die for!! So good! I also got to try their limited Sakura flavour! I'm pretty sure they added a few wagashi in each scoop. It was a very light, refreshing and earthy taste to it I enjoy.
