This place is a real gem! We had dinner here and had such a great time enjoying the food - what we really loved was the sashimi, grilled hokke, fried cheese, fried squid, chicken wings, tamago and onigiri. The yakitori skewers weren’t as outstanding but still passable overall. We had a ton of food but our total bill was still really affordable, averaging around 30,000 yen/pax! Service was also fast and they have an English menu which was useful for us

This is a small local restuarant for yakitori. Decoration is general and nothing luxury and trendy. Food is generally good and we keep ordering for the whole night. The staff and the chef are very nice to serve us although they speak little English. The chef even recommends us place to visit and chit chat with us and give us stickers as souvenirs. It seems to me the only place still opened if you arrive the town in late evening.

Special izakaya near the bus station. There are counter seats and private rooms. The deco is very cozy and homely. English menu available. The most recommended dish fried taro is nice and portion is large too. The fried squid is recommended and the amber jack sashimi is very good too. All food portions are large and filling. Must visit if you are in the region.

The owner of the guest house I was staying at recommended this izakaya and their "imomusume" fried potato balls. Ordered that plus some skewers, cucumber, fried garlic, and local beer - everything was delicious! Staff is respectful and quite kind. Definitely recommend this place!

We had dinner at this wonderful place. There you find a cozy local environment. The people there made us feel at home. The food was delicious, tasty, great and with a good price. Totally recomended if you visit Takachiho! (don't forget to ask for the specialities of the house)

We are a family to come here having dinner. 6 people and a baby are all full . The grilled hokke fish are very yummy. The taro is recommend . The staff and owner are friendly as well . Had some a great night here 😊
