Tomo — Restaurant in Takamatsu

We were lucky to select this place randomly while we were walking close by. We entered at 6 30 , there were only 2 seats at the bar empty out of the total 8 seats available. The receptionist explained how the place operates with two shifts. One at 6 pm to 8 pm other at 8 30 pm to 10 30 pm, hence if we are to join we will have to leave by 8 pm. We agreed, place looked refurbished with a cozy atmosphere. This place does not accept cards,payment is only cash. There is a set menu, either you order Nigiri & Sashimi set or only the Nigiri (sushi with rice) set. Each set is for around 16900 yen per person not including drinks. For drinks they offer beer wine sake etc each is for 800 approximately. For sashimi you do not get ginger, and for nigiri you do not get soya nor side wasabi (chef's rule). All in all it was a great experience with the wooden bar and servicing but surely once in a life time as it is sophisticated for our taste. Also place has a strict no pictures,phones at the bar, or perfume allowed. There is a small translation device that helps you translate and communicate...

It’s interesting to see the diversify reviews in here. I do like this sushi restaurant. They have good service and fresh ingredients. The rice is also nice and different. I’ve been to those 3 starred sushi places in Ginza or Kyoto. You can’t compare with them. They are just sometimes too elaborate. This restaurant just focus on food itself and food alone. And that’s what I’m looking for. And no perfume and no photos in this restaurant. It’s a pity as there is nothing to recall the nice food...

夫の誕生日を祝うため香港から高松へ行き、特に寿司レストランを探していました。結果、この寿司レストランで忘れられない夜を過ごすことができました。比類のないサービス、料理、そして貴重な思い出ができました。このお店は食べログで非常に高い評価を得ていますが、実際に体験してみて、その理由がようやく分かりました！ ご主人ご夫妻は店内を常に整然と保ち、接客も常に適切で、フレンドリーかつプロフェッショナルでした。残念ながら、私たちは道路のトラブルで遅れてしまいました。申し訳なく思いましたが、奥様は私たちを責めるどころか、私たちの状態をとても気遣って、丁寧に尋ねて慰めてくださいました。おかげで、店に入った瞬間から温かく家庭的な雰囲気を感じることができました。 料理はさらに素晴らしく、これまで日本で味わったどの寿司レストランよりもはるかに質の高いものでした。大将の料理は食材の鮮度にこだわり、味付けは複雑すぎず、それぞれの素材本来の旨みを存分に引き出しています。おまかせコースには、6品の絶品前菜と14貫の寿司が含まれており、どれも忘れられない味です。魚介の鮮度、ご飯の柔らかさなど、どれも完璧です。私たち4人グループは心ゆくまで堪能し、一口一口が本当に美味しかったです！

最も感動したのは、食事の最後に、ご主人ご夫妻が夫の誕生日に素敵なケーキを用意してくださったことです！この思いがけないサプライズに、私たちは感激と感謝の気持ちでいっぱいになりました。お二人の心遣いと繊細な盛り付けは、美味しいだけでなく、心温まる思い出にもなりました。 真心、味、サービスに溢れたこの寿司屋を心からお勧めします。ご主人ご夫妻のご健康とご多幸をお祈りいたします。
