Sublime sushi with young chefs expanding what it means to eat the Japanese national dish. They add a garlic based soya sauce to some dishes, serve tuna kidney with tuna belly to soak up the traces of alcohol you might be drinking, or prepare a sea bream brain sushi that melts in the mouth. On top of the exquisite cuisine, the atmosphere is relaxed and chatty (and very child friendly), which is quite rare in high end sushi restaurants. My only reason to hold back from 5 stars is the environmental hiccup typical of most Tokyo establishments: the use of wood chopsticks, which is an insult to both the sushi and the trees and could so easily be rectified, and the AC set at a temperature closer to chilly than comfortable. This place is seriously the best sushi I've ever had. Very expensive, though -- we ended up paying 100 USD per person (about 25,000 yen for two).

I don't speak any Japanese so I am not quite sure how this place works. We went in and the guy just started putting a new piece of sushi on our plates every few minutes. No menus or anything. I don't know if it's all-you-can-eat for a set price, or if you pay per piece of sushi.

Horrible staff! Don't ever go here! Made a reservation through a Japanese friend. Showed up in time and tried to say I had a reservation. The sushi master didn't understand but eventually asked me to sit down. Then he looked at me and made sign as I smelled bad. I had just showered and changed clothes so this I knew was a lie but he then asked me to leave because of my smell. There was only 1 other customer so not at all a popular place and I understand that since they reject customers in such a rude way. Never been treated that...
