A charming little place, tucked away in the neighborhood. It really does feel like entering a home, and is very cosy inside. The day I visited it wasn’t too crowded, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff were very polite and friendly. It was a very hot day so I decided to have the kinako shaved ice. It was a huge portion, and the flavors were very well balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness, pairing perfectly well with the kinako and azuki beans. What really stands out here are the quality of the ingredients, and the azuki beans were some of the best I’ve ever had. Clearly started as a house, though I don't know if anyone still lives here. Still has a very family atmosphere. I thought this song was John Denver, but turned out to be "Landslide" by Flatland Cavalry. Other songs in the same genre. Soy milk is a specialty, and even though I'm reading a Japanese book on the topic, I decided to stay with coffee. What's attempted by the shaved ice. Probably no Wi-Fi.
