Living in a big city, it can be hard to find some peaceful and quiet place for reading unless you go to a public library but sadly these days some of the public libraries have become very noisy, unhygienic and full of bugs like head lice and nits. (I'm NOT joking. ) That said, if you carefully walk around the town you sometimes find a coffee house where you can concentrate in reading. Unless, you don't have any common sence during Covid-19 pandemic you won't find anything unusual about how the owner had set some rules. (please , be aware that even if you come in pairs you're advised NOT to chat while in the premise; hence a lovely place for SOLO DINING! ) For those who love reading in tranquillity this is a heaven. Around 20 seats with a layout and atmosphere that makes me feel like it was converted from a place where they used to do tea ceremonies. Rustic atmosphere with old jazz music and some books, but seems a bit dim for reading. That caused me to notice it seems to have extremely old fashioned wiring for the ceiling lights. No Wi-Fi but charging allowed. Service seems a bit slow for the small number of customers.

西荻窪駅南口から出て、南口仲通街を抜け、そのまままっすぐ徒歩数分ほど、通り沿いにあるネルドリップの喫茶店。 民家をリノベーションしたようなシャビーな雰囲気のオシャレな店内にノクターンが流れるような空間。 席は2人テーブルが5，6組、4人テーブルが1つといったレイアウト。 メニューは、ネルドリップコーヒーのオリジナルブレンドとストレートがマンデリンとエチオピアがあります。 （アイスもあり） その他、ダージリンにミルクコーヒーや特製チャイ、オリジナルトニックウォーター等々興味深いメニューあり。 アルコールもハートランドやバーボンソーダ、ラムチャイとピンポイントでセンスを感じるメニュー類。 ケーキは季節で変わるかもしれませんが、ブラックチーズケーキとラム酒のケーキがありました。 ※現金のみ？

今回は、オリジナルブレンドとブラックチーズケーキをいただきました。

ブレンドのアロマは深煎りのマンデリンが強めに出ていて独特なスモーキーな焙煎香、ネルドリップだけあって口当たりがシルキーで滑らか。 しっとり濃厚にコーヒーがクリームのように広がるとても綺麗な抽出。 ちょっとバランスが崩れるとくどくなりがちな深煎りネルドリップですが、適度な濃度でバランスが素晴らしいですね。 マンデリンの濃厚なフレーバーのあとに顔を出すチョコレートとベリーフレーバーが自然で、ブラックで飲み続けても疲れないとても美味しい珈琲です。

ブラックチーズケーキは、いわゆるバスクチーズなのですが基本に忠実に黒胡椒とマーマレード（というよりオレンジの砂糖漬け）の付け合わせが良いですね。 濃厚ながら爽やかで甘さはかなり控えめな大人な仕上がり。 焦げ目と黒胡椒の組み合わせがたまらない完璧なチーズケーキ。 ここしばらく食べた中で最高です。

店主さんのワンオペのようで全体的メニューは絞ってありますがその分クオリティにこだわってある感じです。 一品一品が丁寧で美味しく、名店の雰囲気が漂うお店。...
