元祖油堂 油そば 田町店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

An original place among the few I went in Tokyo. As I was looking for a meal with a friend near our position, I found this place serving original ramen, intrigued we went in and discovered an interesting ramen without broth. I don't seem to recall the name, but it is this restautant's specialty where the noodles are served with a few toppings of your choice and with the sauce and oil beneath them. To mix everything right of the bat, or going slowly testing the water is up to you. I did a bit of these two ways and it was quite an interesting and tasty experience. First, the good taste and texture of the noodles were a good testimony of their quality, then tasting them up with the sauce beneath created an explosion of taste attesting of the care that went in the blend and preparation of the dish. It was a satisfying experience and I did wish I ordered an egg yolk with it which I believed would have been even more interesting mixing it up with the noodles. THE BEST abura soba I've ever had! The staff are super friendly, the store is very clean, but most importantly, the noodles are amazing! The theme of this restaurant is that you customize your bowl to fit your individual taste using the plentiful condiments they have on offer. You order a bowl of abura soba and use the free condiments to customize each bite by sprinkling different powders, spices, toppings, sauces etc etc. I highly recommend this place for all noodle lovers! I had an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. One of the staff members spilled a strong, foul-smelling alcoholic drink all over me and my friend, soaking our clothes. To make matters worse, they didn’t even offer us napkins or towels to clean up the mess! The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was shocking.
