深草食堂 — Restaurant in Tokyo

I eventually put the full mark but it is not because the place was flashy super fabulous but there was nothing to deduct from a simple but perfect lunch experience which is actually rare. Please come see have a bite for sure once.

This is not such places like a social media buzzed “nature-conscious” or “acknowledged by naturalists” restaurant but a really down-to-earth small downtown diner where 99% of its regulars order the signature “Meal of the Day” set menu. In the defence, the interior and the atmosphere are well sophisticated to my standards, though.

“The day’s set meal” is very Japanese and it’s just fine, as if you don’t need to be critical about your mom’s routine supper. You can choose the usual white rice or “healthier” mixed grain rice in your bowl. Also, there are enough side menus, tapas or small sweets selections if you want before or after the main set.

The meal and service from the landlady chef is perfectly adequate and casually welcoming. Neither a delicate reservation labour or a big wallet is necessary to dine in here, just check the open hours (closes at 8pm-ish, basically) and come in with a smile shall be enough. アットホームなとても素敵なお店でした。

２歳のこどもと夫と来店。

以前から気になってはいたものの、こどもを連れて入っていいのか分からず、なかなか踏み込めずにいましたが、もっと早く利用させてもらってればよかった！と思えるお店でした。

こども椅子があり、利用したい旨を伝えると、お店の方がセットしてくださいました。

お子さんの食事は？と聞かれ、親の食事を取り分けたい…と伝えると子ども用の食器まで出してくださいました。

お茶はセルフサービス。 子ども用という訳ではないけれど、小さい湯呑みがあり、こどもが飲むのにぴったりで、親子でおいしくいただきました。

食事中、こどもが大きな声を出すこともありましたが、店主・来られてるお客さん共にニコニコと寛大な対応をしてくださり、本当に助かりました。

日替わり定食800円 その日は冷しゃぶでした。 ごはんは追加料金ナシで雑穀米を選ぶこともできました。

実家に帰ってきたような、優しい味わいで癒されました。 外食でありがちな、塩分しっかりの味付けではなく、毎日食べてもカラダが喜ぶようなお料理です。

メニューは日替わり定食のみで、おふくろの味といえばいいでしょうか、 豪勢というのではなく、ホッとする感じの定食です。 カウンター席が3席､4人卓が1つ、2人卓が1つの小さなお店で、ワンオペで注文受け、調理をされてます。

日替わり定食800円でご飯は中盛850円、大盛り900円なので高くなく、 美味しく健康的な料理なので毎日通ってもいいですね。

入店すると声をかけて頂けるので、開いてる席に座り､御飯の量、白米、玄米のどちらかを伝えます。 込具合にもよると思いますが、20分ぐらいで料理が出てきます。 お茶はセルフで部屋中央に置いて有るので入れて席に付きます。

私が行ったときは白米、雑穀米が選べ、中盛りでも、他店なら大盛り位の量があります。
