We went for lunch on a weekday, so it was quite busy (queue 20’). Ordered food via a ticket machine.
Staff was friendly and accommodating although they did not speak English. We were given an option to change Charsu to Chicken Breast which we rejected.
My Shoryu Ramen was lovely to look at, and the aroma was great. However the soup was quite salty and heavy (I did not order a richer soup option) and the charsu was standard. The noodles were plentiful - good for those with a big appetite - but I found them on a harder side and did not enjoy the texture.
My boyfriend had their signature Yuzu ramen which was better, a touch of sourness made it smoother to eat and he enjoyed the meal. Overall, it is a good ramen place for a quick work lunch or when you do not have much options, would not go here again.

Read moreThis was our last meal visiting Japan and unfortunately the service ruined it for me.
Was looking for food to buy/bring my wife to eat since she can't walk long distances, and came across Afuri. Saw the big no cash sign on the door but that was OK. so walked in and was directed to order from kiosk. After ordering I told them it was for take out and then they told me "no takeout".
Yet.... When I was sitting there, forced to eat my wife's meal, I noticed that I could order from ubereats for pickup..... So somehow take out is NOT OK but pickup is. So that's what I did and left
On top of that, to add insult to injury..... The Ubereats meal was frozen and requires microwave...... This detail is hidden in the item description unless you press the "show more" button (see screenshots)
Food was ok, but I'm definitely not pleased overall. They should really put up additional signs...
Read moreWe were trying to get into our normal Ramen place in Roppongi one night, but there was a long line so we we decided to look for another Ramen place nearby, and ended up at “Afuri.” Afuri is a sort of alternative to regular ramen. They have non-pork options, for example chicken if you want it. Staff was friendly, and atmosphere is like a typical ramen place. One must purchase their ramen tickets from a vending machine.
My problem with this place is that their broth is yuzu based, or at least has yuzu in it. I ordered a spicy ramen with pork, and while it wasn’t terrible, the yuzu flavor sort of overpowers everything, and I am not a huge fan of citrus flavored While a unique concept, it really wasn’t for me – I...
