"Why do you go Japan to eat Indian food?" is what many asked me.
I have faith in Indian food in Japan ever since getting mindblown at Hoheikyo Onsen at Jozankei. And this visit proved I'm still right.
We had time to spare and happened to arrive at Azabudai Hills Tower Plaza just before our teamlab booking.
It's a little confusing at first because some lifts don't bring you up to the correct floor. I'd advise to use the signboard and recognising that Azabudai Hills is actually made up of various separate buildings but connected at the lower floors. That will give you an easier time for navigation.
I had the 2 curries set and topped up for garlic naan. My mum had the chicken biryani. Butter chicken is fragrant and savoury. Mutton curry is amazing on its own. Don't let the size of the naan in photo fool you. It's easily the breadth of the table!
If we had more people, I'd definitely order more food like the masala thosai.
We have good food in Singapore and we had a good meal here and enjoyed ourselves.
During our visit, they had Indian patrons and Japanese ladies customers. That says a lot about the quality of food here.

Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Ahilya Restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was delicious and clearly made with care. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. I want to especially thank the staff member from Uttarakhand who kindly guided me when I was a bit confused finding my way out. That small act of kindness really stayed with me and made me feel so good. Huge shout-out to both the kitchen and the front-of-house team, great food and even better service. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and satisfying...
Read moreVery newly opened Indian restaurant in Azabudai Hills. The service wasn't upto the mark considering it's a fine dining restaurant - even when we asked for a table of 5, all cutlery was for 4 people and had to repeatedly ask for more spoons, forks, oshibori, etc. The staff won't refill the water themselves. The food portions were really small and the appetizers don't come with chutney/sauces. The food taste itself wasn't great compared to the prices. Considering it's newly opened, hope the service improves in the...
