Ok this is a wonderful locals spot. It was super close to our airbnb so we just rolled in and I was so happy I did. I grew up on my mom's Japanese cooking and this place just tasted like home. I find that these affordable locals spots are the best vs the tourist trap instagram spots.
We tried the omurice, menchikatsu (deep fried Japanese hamburger patties) and the ginger pork (shyougayaki). They have an English menu. Everything was so tasty. And the price is right! Just a little ride on the #2 bus from Ueno station.
