If you find yourself near Futakotamagawa Station, hungover with nowhere else to go, then Big Boy may be a good option. Otherwise, probably best to stay away.

I tried their Texas Barbecue special and despite my low expectations, I found the meal subpar. The steak sauce was weird and the “hamburger” was topped with an odd medley of jalapeños, pineapple, tomatoes and cheese. More creative than I would have expected from this chain, but not particularly good.

Maybe it's because of the pandemic but I remembered Big Boy as the place where your hamburger steak is freshly grilled, you could previously even order it medium rare or well done. Now it comes directly from the freezer, not even fully warm, on a hot plate though but the meat is hard and dry and in no way near fresh. One waitress was running the whole place, completely overwhelmed. The cooks were helping out but the at the buffet there was constantly stuff missing, like soup, rice or the drink fill ups. No longer the place I remember (and I didn't even mention the 40 year old...

I ordered a steak but the steak was so tough and it was not delicious.

Customer service? They did decent but their attitude is not likable. It’s a family restaurant they need to do better. 接客態度が悪い。

Atmosphere- it’s renewed and it is pretty looks good but combined with everything else, it’s a one star.

Additionally, it is pretty expensive. Also, the floor is really dirty. No one is cleaning it up I swear. I personally don’t recommend but it is edible.
