Hyogojima Park — Attraction in Tokyo

Great park for family with small kids. there's a small creek adjacent to the Tamagawa River. The water flow in the river is too much but the creek is perfect to let the kids play in. Depth is around mid shin for an adult. There are tiny fish in the creek. Too quick for kids to catch, but they can spend hours trying. there's also an artificial pond. Not a lot of natural shade close to the creek. So be sure to have some way to stay cool. Lots of locals pitching one of those pop-up tents. No shops in the immediate vicinity either. Bring lots of water. Public toilets...

It's quiet amazing nature place among the busiest are . In summer you can do fishing there . Picnic near the river side can be possible throughout the year and just near the FutakoTamagawa station where you can do lots of other things ( shopping ,eating , indoor play , outdoor playground and others...

Right next to a huge construction site and most people stay under the big bridge, kind of takes away from the atmosphere but, it leaves more room for those that want to sit inside or near the trees in the actual (small) park
