I usually never post reviews on google, but this restaurant has been on my mind for a few months now. In June I had the opportunity to go to Tokyo. But as a Muslim, it was a little bit scary in terms of eating out. I’ve come to find out that there are a lot of halal options, but this one has a special place in my heart.
My travelbuddies were my parents. We are central Asians, so the need for kabab and rice comes back every few days. We knew that we needed to find a Persian spot asap.
For starters, the food was AMAZING. As someone that grew up around these dishes and ate them a lot in Iran, this has been the best kabab I have ever had. Without a joke. It was perfectly grilled with not too much but not too little juice. I loved every second of it. After dinner of course the chai came out (tea). We had some with bastani (Persian ice cream) and it teleported me back to Esfahan circa 2011. This was one experience I will forever cherish.
But the service was amazing too. The interior baffled me. I felt at home in a corner of the world I have never visited before. The oil paintings are beautiful and the carpets remind me of my childhood. The owner was very polite and welcoming. We had such a great time that we ended the night with taking group pictures with the owner and server. We genuinely had a great time. As the server saw me taking pictures on my camera, she insisted to take one of me too. She was so kind and gorgeous. The type of vibe you don’t find in a lot of people. She complimented my croc jibbitz and was the perfect server.
Overall great. Will definitely revisit if I ever get the chance again. May your company...
Read moreAn excellent Persian restaurant serving surprisingly authentic food. Even more impressive is the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. It hardly feels like Tokyo, which is a good thing. The owner, Bolbol, is really friendly — though not necessarily in a customer service kind of way. Still, he's really cool and I enjoyed interacting with him. He speaks some (not much) English, good Japanese, and of course fluent Farsi. The food was amazing. To be honest, I would have preferred more butter and saffron in the rice, but that's just a minor complaint from someone who is used to the Persian food outside of Japan. We got a mountain of food enough to stuff two men for about $50 (¥5508)(these prices are from 2018). More importantly, after living in Tokyo for over a year now it was good medicine for the soul.
2025 Update: Still awesome, but now orders can be placed from your phone by scanning a QR code. The physical menus are still...
Read moreReturning to the Persian & Indian restaurant after three years felt like revisiting an old friend. This charming fusion spot once again exceeded expectations and reaffirmed its culinary brilliance.
The mutton biriyani was a masterpiece, with perfectly tender meat and flavorful, fragrant rice that struck the ideal balance of spices. Complementing the biriyani was the lamb curry, rich and robust, its texture silky and the flavors deeply satisfying. The naan was wonderfully soft yet delightfully crisp at the edges—an impeccable pairing for soaking up the curry.
The meal concluded with a thoughtful gesture: a cup of tea. Its warmth and subtle flavors provided the perfect ending to an already outstanding experience.
Overall, this restaurant continues to stand out not only for its exquisite food but also for its welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail. A delightful gem that remains worth revisiting time...
