Almond Caramel Crepe 🥞 @usagi_kan 🐇
Walking my dog around Inokashira park in Kichijoji, we got tired pretty quickly in the hot sun so decided to take a break in the same cafe I visited just last week. 🔁😅
Upon arrival it was almost 90% full, and there were 2-3 other dogs already inside. Craving something sweet but too heavy, I opted for the almond caramel crepe. 🌰🍨🥞
While waiting, I struck up a conversation with a fellow dog owner, whose long haired chihuahua Tsumugi-chan was so sweet & affectionate. 😍
In the meantime, my dog decided to lie down in the middle of the walkway, where he could catch the breeze of the whirring fans. 🐶🎐
The crepe arrived & came with a generous helping of almond flakes, caramel sauce, big dollop of chocolate ice cream, fresh cream & slice of fresh orange. 🌰🍨🍦🍊🥞
On a hot & humid day, it was light, refreshing, yet luxurious all at the same time. Goes very well with hot/ice tea, of which there are several different varieties. 🫖🧋
After chatting with one of the staff, I discovered that Usagi Kan opened way back in 2006, so it has been an oasis treasured by the local community for over 15 years, especially by dog owners, who often cannot take their pets inside 99% of restaurants in Japan. 😻
I (and my dog!🐶) will certainly be back, and hopefully can try some of their curry dishes next time! 🍛🤤

Read moreCozy little place with vintage furniture, decoration and style. Located in Inokashira Park, it’s a good choice for those visiting it or Ghibli Museum. I tried their Montana dry curry mini salad set for ¥1,000, consisting on rice covered a dry curry with meat and a fried egg, with a side salad. The taste was really good and it was interesting to try a dry curry, with no liquid sauce. After every customer left, the staff (wearing masks all the time) thoroughly cleaned the table and everything on it with hydro-alcohol as a caution for COVID-19. Staff was friendly, fast, kind and professional. You can pay with your credit card...
Read moreThe park is lovely, but this cafe is not worth it. Visiting here really ruined my day. If you love nature and fresh air, DO NOT choose this place. The air in this cafe became really bad when the kitchen started to cook and the air did not become better during my whole visit. And the place is so limited. Also, they required each person to order one dessert and one drink, but it’s very funny that they dare not putting this fact clearly on their menu. Staff were very hard to communicate, despite the fact that this cafe is actually targeting tourists. If you care about your experience, re-consider before...
