Isentei — Restaurant in Tokyo

This new shop, opened on 2021 September 13th, stands in one of best possible location, just in front of the Benzaiten shrine on inokashira park lake. The building is an old Japanese house which once was a traditional sweet shop. The interior is traditional Japanese style, it is full of Windows and is very bright. Illumination is also very bright, that is perfect for lunch time but too much at dinner time where the combination of light interior and strong lighting give a bit too much brightness than it should. I would appreciate a warmer atmosphere at dinner time. Staff is friendly, owner can even speak a bit italian and show a knowledge of italian food that is not common. Menu is quite good, especially pizza and drink list. The variety of coffee drinks is impressive and probably the wider and richer in town. Soft drink variations also richer than average on the market. Pizza variations are also many and can satisfy every request. Pizza lunch menu includes mini salad, pizza and drink. Salad is compound mainly of lattuce, red cabbage and beet, it is small but taste good. Pizza, this time was a Marinara, it was tasty, texture was a bit not enough hydrated for my personal taste. Maybe just overcooked. Marinara, having no mozzarella that release water, on it, tends to be dryer. However overall tasty cannot complain. Espresso very good, maybe one of best espresso in town. Well balanced, good extraction, right color, good crema, right serving cup. Could be a bit denser if we wanna try to find a defect. Overall, welcome to Isentei, wish them a long...

Dieser Laden ist eine absolute Geldverschwendung. Der Service war inkompetent und das essen hat auch nicht den Erwartungen entsprochen. Anders als bei anderen Gästen, wurde uns kein Wasser gebracht als wir uns hin setzten mussten wir das Personal darum bitten uns Wasser zu bringen. Wir haben Pizza Margherita und Pizza mit Pilzen und Pancetta bestellt. Die erste Pizza kam jedoch die zweite nicht. Wir dachten uns anfangs nichts dabei und warteten… und warteten… und warteten! Bis ein Service Personal auf einmal unsere Teller und Bestecke abräumte. Unsere Sitznachbaren hatten ihre zweite Pizza schon bekommen und denen wurde das Besteck und die Teller während der Wartezeit nicht entfernt. Wir haben nachgefragt und die erste Kellnerin war schon total mit der Frage überfordert. Nach mehrmaligem nachschauen auf dem Quittenchaos die sie auf dem Tresen hatten musste sie sich ihr Arbeitskollege zur Hilfe holen. Der meinte sie haben alles im griff und die Pizza sei schon im Ofen. Klar.. es gingen inzwischen Bestellungen raus die nach und kamen. Als wir das Etablissement verliessen gaben wir dem für den Tag zuständigen „Manager“ ein Feedback mit dem er nicht umgehen konnte. Das Feedback gab mein Freund der Japaner ist! Also Missverständnissen gab es bestimmt keine! Er gab uns Sinnlose Entschuldigungen wie das sie uns eine heisse Pizza geben mochten. Als wir auf das Besteck das uns weg genommen wurde hingewiesen hatten, kam die Antwort darauf, das sie uns doch bloss neues Besteck geben wollten. Das stimmte so aber einfach nicht. Keine anderen Gäste wurden so mangelhaft bedient wie wir. Diese Attitüde überhaupt mit seinen Gästen so zu diskutieren war unter aller Sau. Me and my mother were going to go to the gibhli museum but all the tickets were sold out sadly so we decided to go for a walk around the area, eventually we got hungry and searched for a place to eat and came across this lovely restaurant. The staff and the atmosphere there was really nice, it was all good vibes honestly and also had amazing food.
