The best chai I've had in Tokyo (so far)! 😋 Located right next to Inokashira Park, Chai Break is a really good place to relax in. During my visit, I ordered their original chai latte (masala chai) and it definitely didn't dissapoint. Unlike the usual chai lattes served in Tokyo, this one had a very nice balance of flavor and wasn't too sweet 🥰 Furthermore, the chai they used didn't taste artificial at all. If you sit on a counter seat, you can watch the staff extract the tea themselves! The atmosphere in Chai Break is another reason to come and visit as well 🧘‍♀️ It's a very relaxing and quiet place where almost everyone is reading a book or just using their phones. When I visited last year, they didn't seem to have an English menu but as of this year it seems they now have an English menu available for foreigners 🤩 So don't be intimidated to enter and ask for an English menu! You also have the option to have your drinks to go and chill inside Inokashira Park instead. The staff are also very nice and welcoming 🤗

The atmosphere is cozy and the location is right next to Inokashira Park. It’s a great place to spend some casual time. We ordered the original chai and to be honest, it tastes kind of like the Muji masala powdered chai. The price is also quite expensive, around 880 yen for an average cup. (For me, I don’t think it was worth it, so I recommend trying the more unique chai drinks they offer instead) The muffins on the other hand, are really good. Lots of interesting flavors and has the right level of sweetness. The ones we had was the roasted kinako and black sesame muffin which was delicious.

This cafe has a great atmosphere and a really great selection of teas. You can tell they really care about what they’re doing. They sell some teas by the register as well if you want to take something home, which is really nice. Their muffins were also really tasty. I like the coasters and cups they used - like I said, great atmosphere. I got the wakoucha (Japanese black tea) latte. I’d like to visit this cafe again.

I usually don't write bad reviews, but this place could be great if they fixed a few things. First, take out one table. People may have to wait at busy times, but it was not a relaxing space. Also the staff were brushing up against us to get to an employee room, so maybe consider the layout? The front area was full of teas for sale but devoid of customers -- do you want to be a retail shop or a cafe? Maybe best to choose. As for food, the muffin was small and so crumbly it was difficult to eat. The signature chai was big and delicious, but could not get unsweetened. Does this mean they are made from prepackaged mixes? Kind of disappointing if so because they cost almost 800 yen, for which you can get a fast food lunch or even a coffee and cake set at other cafes. As they say in Japanese,...

Came here with a friend and tried their classic chai (no spices).

As a Pakistani who drinks homemade chai every day, the chai tasted incredibly authentic. I was surprised even just walking into the store; the smell was very traditional. I was shocked at how much it tasted like classic South Asian chai.

I also tried my friend's masala chai. Lots of places have chai that is just overwhelmingly cinnamon, but this store had a very balanced and steeped spice mix. It tasted delicious!

Having chai here was lovely, it really felt like I was back home having my little evening cup of chai. Highly...
