3rd time's just as charming

Strawberry milkshakes strongly recommended.

We'd been here a couple of times before last year, and happened to be back in the neighbourhood again today. The asthetic is a bit modern for my taste but I imagine popular for others. The Jazz music is a nice compliment without being over powering, and the large front windows make street watching a treat.

We started the meal with some garlic bread and the shrimp ajillo. For the mains we had the rich rice rissoto and the steak. The rissoto is more cheese than rice truth be told, but I love that so very much. The steak was perfectly prepared, and the drizzled sauce and salt gave fantastic bursts of flavour. For dessert we had the apple pie and the caramel cheese cake. I loved the apple pie but the cheese cake was devine. Each layer and component distinct in its flavours but wonderfully complimentary, a true delight.

Old school Italian place right in the middle of Azabu Juban. I used to come here 15+ years ago and it seems the prices haven't changed much, they are quite reasonable. Portion and taste are good. They don't have baby chairs but had kids cutlery and the kids really liked the food. We had the Margherita, the tomato pasta with premium handmade noodles, the risotto, the burrata and the gnocchi, with a few drinks. Bill was about 8000 (family of 4). The staff didn't seem too attentive or friendly but the service was quick even on a saturday night. Somehow they keep playing early 2000s r&b / clubbing hits, which feels out of place but we really enjoyed...the music is quite...

Regular visitor here for the past 6 years. Service is often average and.or fairly patchy at best. However, 30 December, 2021, the service was exceptional.

Our waiter was 19 year-old Sora, who was completely on the ball; anticipated everything, got the orders first time, proactive, prompt, and read our needs perfectly. He even summoned a sommelier when we produced a 40 year-old Bordeaux. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable; where's he been all this time?!?!

So pleased to have finally got the service we'd been missing all these years.
