I came here to see the sailor Moon museum. Has a long time fan this was like a dream come true. There was so much attention to detail and I enjoyed every single bit of the museum. They had life-size replicas of the weapons, merchandise throughout the years, the costumes from live action and the plays. The gift shop was pretty cool as well. Showing my friends a lot of the stuff when I got back to America had them extremely jealous which honestly I totally understand if I hadn't gotten to go and just all photos myself. I would definitely recommend going if it's still available.

Visited for the “Sailor Moon” exhibition. The museum itself was easy to access and convenient. As per the exhibition, it is not worth the hype (for me). First, it confused me why the “costume change” video at the start of the tour is phohibited to be videographed even though it’s already seen before and available in the internet. 2nd, most of the items inside are just photos (like graphic walls 😅). There are also paintings/art works which are also not allowed to be photographed (this is understandable) The most fun part for me as a sailor moon fan, were the sailor costumes. It seems soOo legit 💕 There’s also a gift shop at the end (exit gate), where I expected to buy a replica of the sailor wands or costumes or stuff toys, but to top my disappointment, those are not available as well 🫠 Can still count as an experience so I’m giving it a 3stars. If you are to visit, just don’t expect much 😊

I’ll be honest…if there’s a museum that has an 80’s or 90’s anime related event then chances are I’m gonna try and check it out. I found out about the Sailor Moon Museum while I was at the Roppongi station. Now while I might not have been a big fan of the series. I can definitely appreciate the impact it’s had on the world of anime. This place had everything that I’d want to see. Tons of photos, props, and designs from the multiple Sailor Moon tv shows and movies. If the Roppongi Musuem ever has a Hokuto no Ken or Urusei Yatsura event I’ll be there.
