I had the pork curry with rice here. Quite authentic especially compared to most traditional Japanese curry or spice curry shops. This little hole in the wall is honestly more authentic than many mainstream Indian run restaurants. The side dishes (sardines and oysters) weren’t anything special to be honest, not much flavor or depth and just filler really. But the curry was flavorful and had layers to it. The pork curry had some acidity but also some spice forward umami coming from mustard seeds and cumin. There was a slight fruity sweetness as well that paired perfectly with the tender, fall apart chunks of pork. Personally I am not the biggest fan of basmati rice and since they serve basmati here but I won’t dock any points there since they executed it well and it’s of course, authentic. All in all, an enjoyable curry meal in Tokyo. I plan to return to try their mutton...

This is a tiny little cafe that just serves delicious curry. A few different kinds. Mutton, pork, chicken, Keema. A cool neon sign beckoned me inside.

The place is small, just a few tables and a few counter seats. The interior is very minimal. The service is super friendly and attentive and the food is delicious.

I ordered the Keema. After a crisp and refreshing salad, they serve a platter with rice and some pickles, a crispy flat bread on the side. The Keema is served in a separate bowl and you can spoon it into the rice as you eat.

I was very impressed with the flavor. It was deep and rich with just enough spice to have a touch of heat, but no burn. Great balance of sweet, sour, and salty.

Really a simple and satisfying meal. Sort of a fusion of Japanese and Indian style curry. Perfect lunch. I'll...

Café Red Book is on a place that is quite easy to just pass by, so make sure you don’t miss it. Its mostly visited by locals. The food is home-made style so its savory and spice is easy to eat; not strong, spicy nor salty but also tasty. Clerks are kind and it is quiet inside and out. The menu I recommand would be Lassi yogurt drink and Mutton curry. Overall it is great for anyone who would like to try an Indian...
