Went there with a friend who had it bookmarked and wanted to go since a while. We went in a weekday at ca.7:30 PM and got seated promptly. Ordering is via tablet.
I’m not too familiar with authentic Chinese cuisine, so my friend picked the dishes- sour spicy fish soup, chicken with noodles and flamed rice.
Service was prompt, and we got our first dish, the soup after 5 minutes- I didn’t expect to be served so quickly! The menu said the portion is for 2 people, but the bowl was so large it could at least feed three people! My hand is in the photo for size comparison ;) The two other dishes arrived promptly after.
And everything was delicious! The soup was a Symphony of different flavors, at least two different types of pepper, it was not too spicy, we chose spice level “普通” aka regular. The fish tasted so fresh and the texture was so tender, I didn’t even wanted to try the other dishes 😅
According to my friend, who has been to China and Chengdu many times, the taste is authentic, and one of the best he ever had! Most other guests were Chinese too, so that’s another proof of how authentic this place is ;)
In the end we couldn’t finish everything, we would easily been full without ordering the rice . I asked for the rest, mainly the flamed rice and a little bit of the noodles to be bagged so we could take it home. Btw, their branding is on point- they gave me the dishes in a cute bag that has the same design as their pillows 😅
I really liked this place the food is delicious and portions are sized generously, service is fast and the interior was clean and stylish! I’ll definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone who loves...
Read moreThis is one of the go-to-place if I ever want to eat Chinese fish dish, or Sauekraut Fish (Fish soup with pickles).
The fish tastes fresh and it’s a big amount considering its price and the location (right next to the station). They even equipped you a special 🥄 spoon so that you can drink the soup, or get the fish easily.
The fish is tender, and the broth is rich, perfectly balanced with the sourness of pickled vegetables and the heat of Sichuan peppercorns. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a great spot for a comforting meal. If you’re craving bold, traditional Chinese flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit in Takadanobaba.
The environment is not bad, and the air conditioning is strong.
The fried rice is super tasty, and you can see a bit flame performance (lol). It’s a...
Read moreTheir 酸菜鱼,spicy sour vegetable fish is very authentic and delicious! Have had this dish many times in China and even in Chengdu. This place is as good and better than most of the places I’ve gone to, and this is in Japan. WOW! Their spicy beef and mapo dofu were almost as good. Their flaming fried rice is instagramable and was also tasty even if a bit oily. This is a place for hard core Sichuan Food fans. The spices and herbs are not for faint at heart. They can lower the heat levels but still quite a lot of heat. Highly recommendable for those who like authentic spicy...
