Eda Kōhīten is a quiet little refuge tucked away from the city’s usual noise—a café that seems to hum on a slower, more thoughtful wavelength. We stopped by for an afternoon bite and found a calm, almost meditative atmosphere.

The sandwiches and cheesecake were pleasant, simple, and priced very reasonably. The coffee—smooth and balanced—felt like it belonged to this place’s unhurried rhythm. Service was polite, and the space itself, warmly lit and uncluttered, invites reflection more than conversation.

We had planned to chat over coffee, but were gently asked to lower our voices. It became clear that this café is a haven for those seeking solitude rather than social chatter—a place where the quiet becomes part of the flavor.

A nice discovery overall, especially for anyone who values calm over conversation.

Everything about this café was absolutely perfect. From the coffee selection to the way it was made and presented, to the atmosphere, the music and obviously the amazing service. 本駒込、白山周辺へ所用で行くことがあり、その度にこのお店の前を通りかかって、レトロなお店の佇まいと窓から伺える店内の雰囲気がとても素敵で、毎回入ってみたいなと思いつつも、満席だったり開店時間ではない時間帯だったりしてなかなか伺えず、今回何度目かにやっと念願叶って伺うことができました。場所は本駒込駅の出入り口前の大通りから一本入った細い通りにあるので、人通りや車の通りもそれほどなく落ち着いた所にあります。店内はダークブラウンの色調のインテリアで統一され、ランプや窓枠や席の仕切りなどにステンドグラスが使われているので、思っていた通り、とても落ち着いたレトロな喫茶店という雰囲気でした。お店はご年配の女性お2人で切り盛りされている様で、混雑時には食事の提供にお時間がかかります、と入店時に声かけされました。私と家族の2名で伺い、伺った日は日曜日のお昼頃でしたがテーブル席は全て埋まっていたので初めカウンター席へ案内され、その後テーブル席に空きが出たからということでお声掛け頂き、テーブル席に移動させて頂きました。2人ともブルーマウンテンコーヒーと、ハム&チーズのホットプレスサンドをオーダー。コーヒー☕️にはミルクとカカオ70%のチョコレート2枚が付き、ホットプレスサンドにはミニトマトときゅうり（とても新鮮で美味しかったです）が付け合わせてありました。混雑していたのでお品が出てくるまでにお話通り少々時間はかかりましたが、それほど長くは感じませんでした。ブルーマウンテンは少し薄味ではありましたが、すっきりとした雑味のないお味でとても美味しく、サンドイッチも温かくてチーズが濃厚でとても美味しかったです。メニューを見るとどれもお手頃価格で、コーヒーもお食事も雰囲気も全て満点な💯お店でしたので、是非また伺わせていただきたいと思います！お会計は現金の...
