Located in of my favourite Tokyo neighbourhoods - the restaurant offers "white table cloth" table seatings - generally pleasant modern design a bit on the conservative side. All tables were taken. We had the (extended) Omakase menu which had typical French order of courses. We liked especially the first course based upon a purree of fenchel and later the St. Jaques mousse with a delicious lobster sauce. While there were minor optimization options to our taste (radish sliced a bit too thickly to harmonize perfectly with the lobster) the menu was overall very well balanced, creative (in a traditional way) and excellent craftmanship. My favorite dish of the night was the fillet de beouf which was very tender. However, my husband’s piece was slightly overcooked. The other star of the meal was the dessert — their dessert chef deserves a huge raise. The cookie was thin and crispy, and the cheesecake was light and fluffy. From when we arrived until the moment we left, the staff was attentive and looked after all our needs. Everyone was courteous , and even had the opportunity to talk to the head Chef.
The food presentation and flavours were impeccable. Fresh and carefully selected, we were served some of the best dishes we have had in Tokyo.
The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing. The ambience music was spot on, and the decor complimented the service and food.
