While waiting for my son at his cram school, I decided to check out Latte Graphic. However, there was a long line, so I told the staff I would leave. To my surprise, they handed me an apology card with a ¥500 discount coupon, which I appreciated. Later, my husband, who was coming to pick me up, sent me a link to this restaurant and suggested we have a snack there. Since I had the discount coupon, I decided to return and wait in line.
We ordered the caramelized banana & walnut pancake and the double berries pancake, both of which were delicious. The pancakes were fluffy, and the toppings were well-balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. We also ordered a café latte, but I was surprised to see that it was served in a simple glass without a handle. Since the coffee was hot, it was uncomfortable to hold, so I requested a cup or mug instead. It was my first time experiencing hot coffee served this way, and when I looked around, I noticed that all the other customers had their coffee in the same type of glass. While it might be a unique presentation choice, it wasn’t very practical. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was quite ordinary—nothing particularly special in terms of flavor or aroma.
My son ordered a kid’s meal, which I found to be reasonably priced, offering a decent portion for the cost. We also ordered ice cream, which was delicious and a nice treat to end our meal.
As for the ambiance, I found the layout and seating arrangement to be less comfortable than expected. The setup felt more like a food court rather than a cozy café, making it not the best place to relax for a long time. On a positive note, the staff were very attentive and accommodating, which made the experience better.
Overall, while the food was enjoyable and the service was good, the atmosphere and coffee presentation fell short of expectations. It’s a decent place for a quick bite, but not necessarily somewhere I’d go out of my way to...
Read moreLatte Graphic is inspired by coffee culture in Melbourne, Australia and is on the second floor of one of the commercial buildings in Machida. For coffee, they have pictures that show the proportion of foam, milk, espresso, and sometimes chocolate, of each of their drinks, which is a good refresher for when you’ve forgotten the difference between a flat white and a cafe latte. Each coffee comes with a graphic in the foam (hence the name). Prices are comparable to other shops in the location. They serve food and alcohol as well, but I didn’t try any this time around.
Each seat had a QR code that is tied to their ordering system, so simply scan and order!
If you have a large party or simply want a reservation to guarantee you a seat, they have a system to make reservations. I was a walk in around dinner time, so it wasn’t a problem to grab a seat.
The workers were very kind and welcoming, despite my poor Japanese....
Read moreI usually enjoy going to Latte Graphic and have been to many branches. This one however turned into a family restaurant with lots of people bringing their children. Usually that wouldn't be an issue either, but some parents bring children that literally scream and screech from the top of their lungs for prolonged times. After a full 20 minutes of playful screeching, screaming and then wailing we honestly lost our appetite and decided to not order dessert anymore. I wish the staff would have had the courage to ask the parents to quiet down the children after they didn't stop. Even in cheap family restaurants such as saizeria I've not experienced any similar volume and repeated playground behavior. Won't be back here for...
