Slow service. We ordered Set Nan, Momo and Cheese Nan. The place was crowded. We waited so much and then asked can we have water at least. They brought water then. Then side dish of set menu salad was placed in our tables. We nearly finished that salad then came the lassi.(also a side dish of naan set). Then few minutes later they served us the naan and curry but again chicken tandoori was missing. We waited then our momo was served then later the tandoori chicken (side dish of the set naan) then finally the cheese naan. We ordered set naan ti have all of them together like naan and curry, side dish salad - tandoori chicken and lassi all together. If it’s busy hour, the restaurant could have explained to the customer regarding waiting time and also if possible provide complimentary snack. Read moreBeing of bangladeshi origin and growing up eating curry , I have been to a lot of indian restaurants. In my opinion , this is by far the best indian restaurant abroad I have eaten at!! Everything was cooked to order with fresh ingredients. The curries have perfect combination of flavors which, enhanced the flavor of the meat/vege and I was impressed to see that when i bit onto my mutton, i actually tasted mutton. NOT a blast of chilli, cumin and rich buring sauce. The chef TOTALLY knew what he was doing. The naan bread was sent from heaven. Fluffy inside, crunchy outside. It was a delight and privilege to eat at Masala hut in Harajuku. Its a must visit place not because of the amazing food, but also the friendly staffs, who had proper table manners and will make you feel welcomed!! Im definitely coming back...

Food was delicious, not a long wait and excellent service. Even as a smaller sized restaurant, it accommodated my group of 7 without hassle. The Nan bread is top class, the curry is spicy (as I like) but be warned...their spice level is greater than the typical Japanese levels. I chose the mid level spice for my chicken tandori set and it was maybe top of the scale for regular Japanese taste buds. The beer was ice cold , the mango lassi was cooling to the palate and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone...
