A rare ramen shop in Harajuku that's open late into the night. Good value and delicious 「Iekei ramen」 just steps from the station.

Seiya Harajuku is a popular ramen restaurant located just steps from the Takeshita exit of JR Harajuku Station, making it a convenient stop for both locals and tourists exploring the vibrant Harajuku area. The shop is well-known for serving Iekei (Yokohama-style) ramen at very reasonable prices, especially given its prime location in central Tokyo.

Key Features: Location: 1-21-15 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Only about a 1-minute walk from Harajuku Station and close to the famous Takeshita Street. Menu: Seiya specializes in rich, savory pork and chicken broth ramen, with toppings such as spinach, nori seaweed, and tender chashu pork. The noodles are medium-thick and straight, perfectly complementing the flavorful soup. Price:** The ramen is known for its excellent value, with standard bowls starting from around 650 yen, making it one of the most affordable options in the area. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a nostalgic, retro vibe with a compact interior—about 15 seats in total (counter and small tables). It’s casual, lively, and often attracts a mix of locals, tourists, and even late-night diners thanks to its long opening hours. Hours: Open daily from 11:00 AM until 2:30 AM, making it a great choice for lunch, dinner, or even a late-night meal. Payments: Seiya Harajuku accepts credit cards, various electronic money, and QR code payments for convenience . No Reservations: The shop does not take reservations, but the turnover is quick, so waiting times are usually short even if there’s a line. Non-smoking: The entire restaurant is non-smoking.

Why Visit?

Seiya Harajuku is highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, hearty ramen without breaking the bank. Its unbeatable location, fast service, and generous portions make it a favorite among both regulars and first-time visitors. This place is amazing. I had been looking for a small ramen restaurant like this for a long time. The ramen was great. I had the roasted pork fillet bowl with some gyoza. Both were divine! Secretly, add ginger to make it even better. The small store makes it so you are sitting across from or across from strangers sometimes. If you can speak Japanese like I can it's a great experience and a nice break from the crowds....

Came here for a quick bite to eat since I was craving some ramen. Don’t let the 3.7 star rating deter you, I thought the ramen here was very decent. You place your order at a kiosk and food is brought out to you. The restaurant itself is quite tiny so there are not always tables open. The ramen itself was delicious and the broth was very rich. Gyoza could have been a little bit crispier but...

Great ramen for low price and very fast!!! You order in the machine which is convenient for English speaking people. I chose “harajuku set” - the ramen soup was kind of poor version (no egg, no daikon), but the set included also rice with onion and gyoza. Overall, it was tasty and cheap, so I do recommend!
