McDonald's Ueno-Okachimachi — Restaurant in Tokyo

A total nightmare and a perfect example of how Japan in Tokyo “progresses” towards “western” style. Used to be ok to buy a burger and have a nap on the way from/to work. Today as of 3.9.2024: Coming in 4-5am, music totally extra loud. Strong lights everywhere Music …terrible taste…put on loop. But last but not least: as I came in I saw few Japanese people having nap and not being bothered by anyone. Yet, despite restaurant being nearly empty, after ordering few burgers and having a quick nap in a very corner , the staff came in and woke me up saying the only thing they could in english “no sleep!”. This is ridiculous behavior and it feels racist too. Because not only I was treated differently from other customers but also because it is and has been for a long time Japanese custom to not bother customers who purchased something if they have a nap as long as they don’t cause problems with other...

i came here for breakfast at 8am, it was not busy. the counter at 2/f and more dinning space at 3/f. but i dun think it's too safe to walk upstairs with wet floor (it was raining) that day and i was holding my umbrella, bag and the food tray. i had a mc griddle meal, it was fine.

It’s unclear if this location is 24 hours. When I arrived about 11:40pm, they served me, but would not let me use the dining room despite many others using the table. Not a big deal, but it was a bit weird. Anyway, the food was standard and tasted just like any other McDonald’s I’ve been to...
