Mehico — Restaurant in Tokyo

Issues too numerous to ignore.

(1) Many empty tables but made to wait at the front 10 mins, for a seat. We were not offered, but asked for menus to use the time efficiently. Then upon ordering once at the table, we were only then told by waitress that literally half the menu would need extra 30min than normal to make, thus changing and severely limiting our choice. (2) Ordered x2 large oyster but served small and needed to have them exchanged. (3) Sea urchin dishes were clearly not fresh (dark with bitter taste) and were a vastly different size to the menu picture. So clear the difference, that my young son raised it to me. We were told that the dish was the best they had and were provided more uni topping (but still not to a level represented by the picture). (3) Ordered large shrimp tempura (4 pieces) but found one of them to be basically hollow. (4) Paid the expensive bill but once outside noticed we'd been charged for both sizes of oyster (despite not ordering or eating the smaller ones). Upon returning to the front payment desk, I began to notice how the place was soooo dirty. (5) Too expensive Vs food quality

Staff very apologetic about all of the above but I prefer avoiding these issues in the first place. It occurred to me subsequently that no gesture of compensation was offered in any way. Too many issues - will...

A seafood Mexico restaurant, love the fish tanks all around the place, there’s a giant whole wall fish tank at one part of the restaurant, if you’re lucky you can get the seats there. Otherwise wherever you sit you’ll see one fish tank at least.

Food is fresh, not too expensive for the quality, tasty and rich. We went on a weekend lunch and it was not crowded at all.

There was a long wait for our order to be taken. We rang the bell 4 times. Once every ten minutes. Once we did get service, it was amazing. The waiter was very friendly and did his best to try to help us with ordering because of the English-Japanese language barrier.
