Tasty and very affordable Hakata style (Tonkotsu) ramen. The taste isn't amazing or anything, but the value and dingy atmosphere are what make this a great ramen joint. My recommendation is drop by after 9pm for a late night snack if your accommodation is nearby.

The standard ramen and gyoza sets are great value for money. Ramen refills are also only 100 yen.

To enjoy this local ramen experience, simply buy the meal tickets from the machine, hand them over to the staff, and find a place to sit down.

I'm not sure if they have an English menu or not, but the staff will likely help...

delicious bowl of hataka ramen and some fried rice for only 980 yen~ nice simple and homely taste. unlimited iced water (pour yourself) which is great when you’re like me and drink a lot while you eat lol. definitely recommend coming here, portions are so generous for the price :) also note they accept heaps of payment methods here, no need to worry...

池袋駅北口より徒歩１０分。中国人街よりも更に外れに位置し、このあたりまで来るともはや住宅街。付近にはコインランドリーやコンビニが立ち並び、歓楽街としての面影はありません。

地元の人や、自転車通勤をしている人でないとお目にかかる事はないと思いますが、夜間になると暗闇にまっ黄色の看板がひときわ目立ち、辺りにはとんこつラーメン特有のケモノ臭が漂います。辺鄙な立地ですが、お客さんはそれなりに入っていました。

オーダーは食券式。券売機が壊れているのか、硬貨が使えません…。メニューはラーメンの他におつまみや定食などを扱っています。１人で軽くちょい飲みしたい時にも良さそうですね。

店内には日本人スタッフ１人と、外国人スタッフが１人、慌ただしく動き回っていました。２人とも明るいです。

博多明太子ラーメンを注文。お味は…悪くないですね。スープは意外にもマイルドで、スイスイ食べれます。明太子入りが食べたかったので敢えて明太子入りにしちゃったんですが、次回はプレーンなやつも食べてみたいと思いました。

博多ラーメンらしく麺の固さが細かく選べて、スープはおなじみの白・黒・赤から選べます。トッピングや卓上調味料も種類がかなり豊富で、その日の気分に合わせて色々と遊べます。

トッピングで出てくるネギやライスの量が非常に多いので、個人的には量を半分にして値段を下げた方...
