We are English speakers. Wasn't busy with two other tables at the time. Sunday evening around 7pm

The good. Good food. We had the Sashimi, oyster egg, signature chicken, fries, shrimp fried rice. All dishes were good. Sashimi texture was great and the flavour was well adjusted. Shrimp fried rice was also good, you could taste the Wok heat Fries nice and crispy. Oyster egg good and chicken was tender with crispy screen. Dipping sauce was good.

The Bad Wasn't explained to us and wasn't on the menu or even Japanese menu from what I can see from online translation. Place requires a Drink AND has a Cover charge. Typically we have only seen one required. Cover charge was 440 per an adult and we didn't see it written in the Japanese menu nor was it explained to us.

They forgot our sashimi order. Food came out real slow because the chef was busy talking to another customer.

Portions are on the smaller side...

Such a lovely night here!! Even with our broken japanese and a bit of english we managed to order gyoza, chicken with three spices, sushimi and fries: everything was soooo delicious 😍 the chicken, the main course, was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, awesome variation with the spices as well; the fries were addictively spicy; the gyoza well cooked and savoury; and the sashimi!! Omg I didn't expect the delicious seared fish with a heavenly ginger mixture 🤤 served with cold beer and a nice lively atmosphere made for an overall a great experience, super...

【駅から歩くがコスパ良し味良し行く価値あり】 池袋を散歩中に発見し訪店。 池袋劇場通り沿いの落ち着いた場所に佇む。 店内も落ち着いた雰囲気で左手にカウンターと右手にテーブル席があり、奥に掘り炬燵の半個室。若めの客層。

予約なしだったが、17時半と早かった為待たずに入店。時間差で19時ごろには満席の様子。 予約客が多い為、予約がおすすめ。

飲み放題付きコースメニューを頼む卓が多い様子だが、今回は予約なしの為、アラカルトで注文。

『とりあえず生ビール』は正月後のダイエット期間の為我慢。ハイボール(450円)を注文し、早速友人と乾杯。喉を潤しつつメニューを拝見。 メニューは居酒屋定番メニューがずらりと並びつつも生肉や本格的な中華料理もある。

私は悲しくも減量中につき、看板料理の半身鶏唐揚げは今回はお預けで、国産鶏肉のたたき、低温調理鶏レバーを注文。 たたきはポン酢、醤油、塩でいただくスタイル。新鮮である為、塩が合って美味い。 レバーは胡麻油で和えてあり、そのままで美味い。加熱しすぎず絶妙な食感。

ハイボールも5杯目にさしかかり、店長におすすめのお酒を聞いたところ日本酒がおすすめの様。また、店長がソムリエの資格を持っている為、ワインも提案された。ワインはナチュラルワインをメインに取り揃えているとの事で、店内からは見えないが種類も豊富。 ワインは寡聞にして知らない為、下町心を擽るバイスサワーを注文。いい感じに酔いが回り、お腹も膨れてきたので〆料理のチャーハンを注文。 注文後少ししてからニンニクを炒めるいい香りと中華鍋の心地よい音が厨房から漂い聴こえてきて、店長がチャーハンを作っているのがわかった。同時に香りと音を感じながらそれの到着をワクワクしている自分がいることもわかった。心待ちにし15分程度で着丼。 海老がチャーハンの上に盛り付けられており、ビジュアルは満点。崩すのが勿体無いくらい。 エビはチャーハンの上だけでなく、チャーハン内にも小エビが入っていてアクセントも満点。しっとり系のチャーハンが好きな私にはど真ん中の一品。

値段も安く、味も良いの...
