Nasu Oyaji

Review on May 2023. I picked this place after looking at Google map randomly and saw that it's a small quaint retro looking place, so I got interested. The interior brings us back to old times where they have vinyl spinning on the turntable. They have nice retro song selections, as the staff will change vinyl every 10-15 minutes.

Nasu Oyaji Curry serves only beef, chicken, vege or mushroom curry rice here, no pork. We ordered their special curry rice and mushroom curry rice. Both are good with sweet, deep and dark Japanese curry, slightly spicier than regular Japanese curry... pretty much like Java style. The curry and rice may be a lot but their meat or veggies are really on the skimpy side... so may seem expensive in that regard. They have English menu (shown in pic) and the staff can speak some English. Overall, I like the atmosphere and the music they played that time is really great to listen to while waiting for our food.

We were there at around 1pm on a Friday, so waited for 2 people in front of us, maybe just 5-10 minutes. There are about 13 seats I think... table and counter seats. Ideal for 1-4 pax.
