Gyōza no Ohshō Shimokitazawa — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place is quite inexpensive but the quality doesn't drop because of it. I know this place is part of a chain of restaurants and all but I find the quality of the food to be pretty good. Ordered a 12 gyoza meal that came with soup, some pickled vegetables and rice and it was a good late night snack for two people. I think the gyoza were done just right that it was crispy and the insides were juicy and overall just delicious. And all of that for the price of roughly 1100 yen which is currently a little over 7 US dollars. Now that is a deal.

The only slight complaint I have is how smoky this particular branch was and I understand they're probably cooking a bunch of gyoza right there in the kitchen. We came the hour right before closing and it was still pretty bustling but not too busy enough that we couldn't get seats immediately. Nice fast Chinese/Japanese/Korean stir fry meals/dishes served in cafe type restaurant- no frills no fuss but tasty meals. Beers are also sold here. Prices are very reasonable n the service is fast n efficient. Many varieties of dishes available, either in small/medium sizes! Many locals do patronise it to order several dishes n then several rounds of beer👍a nice way to enjoy a drink n nice cooked food. Tip- try the Kimchi Fried Rice(Korean) n Fried Crispy Noodles(Chinese), they’re absolutely delicious. They also do nice gyoza dumplings n it’s a nice accompaniment to a cold beer. This place will forever get a 5 for me due to the food, service, and price. The gyoza are clearly a must try, the sweet and sour chicken (ユーリンチ) is great, and the crab and egg fried rice (天津飯) is delicious.
