Terrible - Note in English at entrance saying foreigners can not enter if not accompanied by a Japanese persson
Today went there with my wife and at about 16:30 PM afternoon the restaurant was 90% empty.
The person at the entrance pointed us to a note saying that after 4 PM can not enter the restaurant if not accompanied by a Japanesse person .....????
That is a 100% cover for clear racism and hatred against foreigners that come to visit Tokyo ...
Welcome to check out the place and the note by yourselves
One of the worse cultural experiences we had in wonderful Japan where most people are so welcome kind and polite and more then happy to meet foreigners even if they do not speak Japanese ( was never a problem ).
Suggest that if anyone knows the owners or the right Government officials to take that behaviour of this restaurant ( that might have great food which we could not enjoy )
Imagine that the staff or owners of this restaurant came to Europe or the US and were refused entry if un accompanied by an American or local European ( with the false and fake claim that their staff does not speak English ...yes sure ....)

Their lunch sets are so popular they often sell out early, so I recommend visiting in the evening when you can take your time and enjoy the full experience. There’s a counter seat where you can watch the robata grill in action, and upstairs there's a cozy tatami-style area perfect for groups.
The traditional house setting adds a wonderful touch—warm, welcoming, and full of character. A perfect place to enjoy Japanese cuisine in an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic...
Read moreArrived Friday morning, about 20 minutes before opening and we were the first ones in line. I had screen capped everything I wanted to eat and showed it to the cashier. Unfortunately, those dishes were only available at dinner. However, the lady was nice and pulled out a handwritten menu with English translations. I was worried they wouldn't let me in having read previous reviews about them not letting in foreigners but this wasn't the case at all. The fish is really just fire roasted without any oil except its own so if you're used to a bit of extra oil on ur fish, you might find it to be lacking in flavor. However, we...
