Patisserie Naoki is hands-down the most underrated patisserie in town. His creations are simple yet sophisticated; beautiful to look at and absolutely scrumptious. Every visit is a treat, not just because of the pastries, but also thanks to his talented, hardworking assistants and the always-friendly staff who make the whole experience so welcoming.

From cakes to tarts, cookies to homemade jams (the kiwi jam is THE BOMB), everything is crafted with care and seasonal flair. He often uses Japanese ingredients or adds a Japanese twist to classic Western sweets, and we always look forward to seeing what’s new. 初来店。 ショーケースの前で延々悩んでなかなか注文しないおばさんがいた。 見かねた店員Aが私に「お決まりでしたらお伺いします」と声をかけてきたので、ラス1のケーキを注文。 ところが、注文したケーキをなぜか取りに行かない店員A。 ん？と思ってたら、やっと注文決まったおばさんがそのケーキを店員Bに注文、店員Bが素早くとって品切れに。 なに？このオペレーションは。 その後店員Aがのろのろケーキを取りに行き、私の頼んだケーキが在庫0になってしまったことに気づく。 「先のお客様に注文伺ってたので、そちらで品切れです」みたいなことを、なぜか笑顔で案内される。 いやいや、先に注文聞かれて頼んでたのは私です。 決まった人から伺うんじゃなかったの？ 来店順にしかケーキをとらないなら、一番前の人以外に先に注文聞く意味なくない？ どれだけ長考する客がいても店の回転が悪くなっても来店順にケーキをとることを徹底し続けるのかな、この店は。 だとしたらある意味あっぱれ。 こんな謎オペレーションしてるケーキ屋、私がよくお店では一軒もないのでびっくりした。 こういう意図の分からない矛盾した対応が一番不快度高い。 そして最近の店員は本当に察しの悪い人が多いなと。 店員Aもこちらが何にイラついているのか分かってなさそうだった。 都心でこれをやってたら客を捌けないし、時間がかかってイライラする客も...
