We were very pleased with the whole experience at Pachon. Despite this being a rather fancy (I think Michelin-starred) restaurant, the staff and owner were down to earth and made sure we felt relaxed and comfortable. They were flexible and accommodated our requests (I don't eat non-fish seafood, so they swapped out a couple of dishes for me in the set menu, for example). Every dish was at least great and up to absolutely fantastic. Some of dishes that stuck in my mind: the truffle terrine with sweet wine gelee and soft and crunchy brioche set was excellent, the fireplace grilled wagyu and lamb were tear-jerkingly good, and the surprise camembert ice cream (which came with the cheese bar) was to die for. Read moreExcellent real French restaurant near Daikanyama station of Tokyu line, which is next to Shibuya station. You can also walk here from JR Ebisu station. Tje restaurant equips a big fireplace with firewoods pop occasionally giving warm atomsohere. Staffs and waiters are very well-trained and you will be served very comfortably. Dishes are real French cuisine so you will be very satisfied if you prefer real French, not Japanized version of French. I enjoyed a cassoulet and it tasted almost the same as I had enjoyed in South France before. They have also good selection of French wines. I just followed the advice of the waiter and his recommendation largely satisfied me. This is a real restaurant and is a little bit expensive but I reckon it...

The restaurant is steeped in history—the fireplace, brought in the 1980s by the owner, dates back to the 1780s—and is run by the owner's family. We had a delightful conversation with Patric Pachon, one of the founder’s sons, who shared passionate insights about the place and its history. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food was exceptional—arguably one of the best French meals I've had, whether in France or elsewhere. For anyone who loves gastronomy, this place is a must-visit. It offers a warm, inviting atmosphere paired with top-notch cuisine, all without taking itself too seriously. Highly...
