Small. Attentive service. Man/wife team I think. The pork was tender, the coating crispy and not oily. After much indecision, I ordered the 8 pork yuzu rolls and then the owner offered to do a split with the umeboshi rolls 4+4. Nom nom. This little piggy said thank you!! However, because I am a little piggy and had walked a lot that day, those 8 rolls weren’t enough for me. Especially when facing my partners thick, tender, steak. Hire katsu was good (though not surpassing other good katsu shops). That said the coat wasn't oily and the meat was tender but not overly so.
For both dishes the balance of everything made it a great katsu shop. Also the couple running the place were attentive and lovely.
Plus note, I'm not one that usually goes on about good rice (have had a lot of good / famous rice living in JP) but the rice here was phenomenally buttery and tasty. Ok the place...
