A Mixed Experience at the Italian Restaurant

Last night, I celebrated a birthday at an Italian restaurant I was looking forward to. The food was truly delicious; my friends’ dishes were flavorful and well-presented, which should have made for a memorable evening.

However, the service completely ruined the experience. We were a table of six, and while my friends chose the menu, I had to order à la carte due to my seafood allergy. I sought help from the manager, but he was more than rude and unhelpful. It was like he wanted to punish me.

When my plate of spaghetti bolognese finally arrived, it came without any starter, while my friends were still enjoying theirs. Additionally, when I mentioned that I had ordered a salad, the server carelessly dropped it next to me without any consideration. It was shocking and disrespectful.

To top it off, while my friends enjoyed a menu with 6 dishes, I was left with just one and a poor salad. My bill was also exorbitant, nearly 40% higher than theirs…

In summary, the quality of the food couldn’t make up for the terrible service. I’m really disappointed, as this birthday dinner could have been a great celebration, but it was marred by a very unsatisfactory customer experience. I don’t think I’ll be returning...

Excellent food, impeccable and attentive service.

All dishes are well executed, clearly demonstrating the fine culinary skills of the chef mastering both modern Italian fine cuisine with Japanese elements. Plus point for my husband is the variety of breads made in house and served always warm. We were already feeling quite full after the second pasta but when the sirloin was served, we couldn’t resist the enticing smell and we ate that too! Dessert was lovely too!

We came here for my daughter’s birthday and they presented her with beautiful edible plated decoration for her dessert.

We were well taken care of, they regularly checked in and would ask if we wanted to change the temperature or more bread and drinks.

Really disappointing. Reviews are amazing but the food was outright bad, and service was shocking - one person couldn’t eat shellfish about which we notified the restaurant in advance, and they served shellfish pasta nonetheless - and then once alerted of the issue, they physically removed the pieces of shellfish and then served again the same pasta!
