Considering the amount of food served, this place is considered as relatively cheap. The atmosphere is very much like in Thailand, small tables and counter with plastic chairs. Inside it is filled with the smell of Thai food which is very nice. A lady serving food and taking order was nice and attentive. For lunch, every menu is 690 yen including tax, served with small salad and soup. I ordered gapao rice. In terms of quality of food, it is average, not outstanding. When I come to have Thai food I look for fusion in flavour, fruitiness, refreshing, and spice. Unfortunately the food did not leave much of impression. The fact that Thai food tends to be an affordable option for lunch, this may not be a place I come...
Read moreAffordable and yummy Thai food. I really like that the portion sizes are quite small so I'm able to try lots of different dishes in one meal!
The restaurant atmosphere is very casual and colourful! It's cozy and welcoming. You do sit quite close to the other customers though, and if you run into a group of loud people, it might change the experience a bit.
They leave the door open (probably because of Covid) and the ashtrays are right outside the door. We were sitting right by it and the smell of cigarettes was really strong. I recommend asking for a seat farther from the door if this...
Ordered Stir-Fried Soft Shell Crab with Black Pepper, Fried Crispy Chicken Rice, and Khao Soi (monthly special). Was quite disappointed with the experience.
The most disappointing was the Khao Soi. While the soup was decently flavoured, it was not even spicy in a tiny bit as one would expect. The worst is that only the top part of the bowl, the few strands sticking out of the soup, were egg noodles, which Khao Soi is famous for. The rest of the bowl was of a different noodle. This is FRAUD; why would I order Khao Soi if that's the case?
As for the soft-shell crab, it was similarly disappointing. Unlike the photo on the menu, which has golden, fried, crispy-looking soft-shell crabs, the dish we received was a soggy mix in a sad grey sauce.
The chicken, while indeed crispy, were old, dry, and seemingly a tad bit overcooked.
Unfortunately, the coconut juice drink was a...
