I chose the hotel as it was in a decent location, was fairly new and had a decent nightly rate.||||Positives are that it is literally on top of one of the Hanzomon subway line stations, and accessible in B2 level at exit 5 from the Kinshicho subway station.||||Also, my rate came with daily breakfast on the 4th floor.||||While I appreciated the breakfast included with my rate, I found it quite repetitive over the 8 nights I was there. Not much changed at all in the buffet. Also I believe the food is made somewhere else and warmed up at the hotel as the area isn't large enough to have a kitchen to make it all.||||Most of the clientele is Japanese, so you will find most of the food is catered to Japanese which is fine, but make note of that if you are looking to stay there from a Western country. You won't find very much that you are used to. ||||They do have some croissants, and tiny slices of bread, but no cereal. The bacon when they have it is sort of steamed and not fried. And the eggs that they have available everyday are the traditional Japanese style that I see at many Japanese hotels, kind of an egg soup. Essentially look like quite undercooked scrambled eggs. It isn't a mistake, it just seems to be how Japanese like their eggs.||||So I ended up having croissants, fried chicken, some potato dish and ice cream with chocolate sauce for breakfast. They do have daily chocolate and vanilla ice cream that is good and serve scoops yourself. They also have a chocolate fountain with quality chocolate flowing. One other good thing is they have Lotte koala shaped pancakes available everyday. With a few syrups available or use the chocolate fountain chocolate.||||One recommended thing they also have in the buffet which was delicious was the "hot chocolate". It was literally hot chocolate, thick and rich. I guess expected from Lotte who makes chocolates as well as other things.||||Another bonus for those inclined, is that they use the restaurant as a place to clear out chocolate and cookies that are nearing best before date. So you can take a couple boxes or packages home every day you eat at the restaurant. They don't say it, but look at the packaging and they will always expire the following month. Not a big deal as it is free, and it is a good way for them to make customers happy and not have to throw all the expired food out to the garbage.||||I had a laugh everyday with some young guy sitting in a corner with a bag, and he would go every 5 minutes to get one more item from food area, and pop by and get more boxes of the free cookies/chocolate and stuff them into his bag. Essentially I don't think he was eating much, just taking his time to fill his bag with the freebies and thinking no one would notice. I did, and found it funny to watch.||||For the room, it was decent sized as I was solo. Had a double bed, with enough room for me, and the shower was decent sized and had good water pressure. Toilet though is right in the bedroom so you had better be there alone hehe.||||I found, as I usually find in asian hotels, that the bed wasn't very comfortable and gave me a sore back for several nights until I got used to it. It was a little softer than most asian hotel beds, but still not like a western style Serta or Simmons bed. Some booking websites like hotels.com list the bed as a Select Comfort, it is not.||||Would I stay there again? If the rate was the same, I may consider it as generally was great value when booking in advance. Just have to get used to the bed, and the food available in the buffet if included in...
Read moreWe stayed for 6 nights at a city double non-smoking room. The location is really convenient. There is a train station exit that leads you to the bottom floor of the hotel. Also close to a lot of restaurants and a mall. However, that is the only thing good about the hotel in my opinion. we had trouble booking a hotel at a more affordable rate and location during cherry blossom season and decided to stay here. |The rooms are okay for Japan, not too small, but it’s not big either. However, the room was not the cleanest and smelled old and stuffy. It did not feel comfortable. The bathroom was pretty small and felt dirty and old as well. The sink faucet wasn’t working well and was still dripping after we turned off the faucet. They also don’t have the greatest service compared to other hotels in Japan. After 12am, or a certain time at night, the turn off the hallway lights so it was quite scary coming out of the elevator to a dark hallway.. almost thought we pressed the wrong floor or having a nightmare.. Staff don’t greet you when you walk past or act as friendly as other hotels in Japan. We asked front desk to help us ship our luggage to our next destination. We did this at other hotels we stayed at and were not charged a service fee. However, they charge a fee here and quite a lot.. not only did they charge a fee, but i don’t know if they charged us wrong or what, it costed much more than what we were charged when shipping at other hotels. We were in a hurry so we didn’t question it and just went with it, but it seemed like a rip off to be charged that much more than we paid for shipping our luggages before and also charged a large fee for it. We also noted we were celebrating our honeymoon but they didn’t even acknowledge it in any way. Felt uncomfortable and uncleanly the entire time we stayed there. Good thing we didn’t stay at the hotel that much since we were out exploring most of the day. Would not be...
Read moreThe hospitality, service and location is awesome during my 10 day trip to Tokyo!
The reception staff are always so welcoming and they was so helpful when my boyfriend had issue swith his damaged luggage, they were able to dispose it for us (for ¥500). We bumped into the cleaners along the corridors now and again and they would greet us all the time. We was so pleased with our stay we did leave some chocolates as a big thank you.
Vending machines are located at a few floors so its handy when you're thirsty! You can do your laundry on the 7th floor and its very inexpensive. They also provide a laundry service too if time isn't on your side.
I think the location is the best things about this hotel. The nearest station is a few minutes away and theres a 7/11 and a pub directly below! It was lovely to enjoy the night without worrying about taking the last train home or picking up a last minute snack. They are a few shopping malls within walking distance and you get an awesome view of the Tokyo Skytree! You can easily commute to the popular areas in Tokyo, theres a direct line to Akihabara and Shinjuku!
The room itself was clean and fully equipped with toiletries and other appliances. It saved a lot of luggage space knowing we didn't need to worry about creams / shampoos etc. They provide new water bottles every time cleaning service is done so you wont be dehydrated!
I have nothing negative to say about this hotel! I would definitely recommend this to my...
