This place looks pretty unassuming at first, and you might expect it to be just okay, especially when you're in need of a coffee. But once you walk in, you're totally blown away by the beautiful pastries! 😍 The egg in a hole was amazing, and we also had a chicken sandwich, with fresh lettuce, a home-made fluffy mayo and another mystery condiment that I can’t quite place. The best little bakery in all of Tokyo in my opinion! Such a wide variety with very reasonable prices and all of it is delicious! The presentation of it all is on point. It’s a very small and cozy bakery in a quiet corner of the city by the Sumida River, with a few seats available. The staff are so kind and patient. They even offer to warm your food up when you pick it out. I don’t think some of these other reviewers rating it so lowly are eating at the same place I did! It was excellent all around. When in Japan, you must visit a bakery for breakfast. Saint Etoile is a cosy little bakery with a selection of savoury and sweet choices. Best of all, if you choose to dine in, they can warm the buns up! My go-to would be the fish burger which came as a set menu with an egg salad (very good) and beverage.
