SALVATORE CUOMO & BAR — Restaurant in Tokyo

I am not the one to write reviews but after seeing the server smell what looked like a cup of coffee or tea before serving it to another table i felt like i had to.

Now I could spend some time talking about how slow was the service whether the pizza that took over 40 mins to be served, or the dessert that never came even though 30 mins passed. Waiters kept looking at us confused, probably wondering why are we were still there... so we decided to ask them about our dessert. The response was one of them was ready (i had seen it sit on a counter for over 10 minutes) but the other was still being prepped in the kitchen (to be served less than 2 minutes after, an unthawed frozen cheesecake). This meant for us wasting 2 hours to have an average meal and a frozen dessert below expectations.

Having previously worked as a waitress, I understand the rush hour of working at a restaurant, but the restaurant is not that big, the tables were not full and they were not understaffed.

The blame is not on the servers themselves, it is not fair to leave what seemed to be untrained unexperienced employees on a Saturday night to run around confused, mistaking orders and scratching their heads at any inconvenience (literally).

Such a shame that the administration does not train the employees well for a job.

The pizza here was really delicious. After a long day of traveling throughout Tokyo we stopped here for dinner and we couldn't have been happier we did. The decor of the place is really cool. The music rather laid back. The servers were very helpful in trying to get everything I needed even though I didn't speak the language. Once the food came out, it was very flavorful and hit the spot!
