I've been to 3 branches so far (Akihabara, Shibuya and now Shinbashi) and they are very consistent in terms of food quality. Surprisingly / distressingly the same can be said about ambiance.
First off, the food here is good low brow spaghetti, as basic as it can be with complimentary size upgrades and then paid upgrades for the massive upgrades. Pricing is absolutely in line with what you get, in fact probably lower than what you might expect.
Ambiance however is straight up scary. In this, as in the other 2 locations I've been to, the building housing the restaurant looked to be on its last legs, you trek down rickety stairs that are so narrow that passing somebody is a feat in gymnastics. Inside the shop itself is so cramped that you get to know the people sitting one table over very well. In earthquake country, you are very much gambling that this heavenly pasta will be consumed allowing you to climb up from the scary, dank basement before the next...

The restaurant is comfortably small. It's just big enough to where I don't feel like I am sitting on top of the person next to me. I went at peak dinner time, Friday night around 5:30-6:00pm. There was a small wait, less than 5 minutes.
They do provide English menus, however it is not a full menu. Ordering is done via ticket machine at the entrance. The kind server took my ticket confirmed what I ordered, and placed me at a seat.
Food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered their signature spaghetti with meat sauce, and added cheese Large portion. It absolutely filled me up. I would probably order a medium next time.
The entrance can be difficult to find It's in the basement, and the sign is...
