Sushi Zanmai Shinbashi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Best sushi I‘ve ever had (and I had loads in many different countries - not Japan)! Mostly japanese customers, nonetheless even for us tourists it was a perfect service (completly different to some other posts. Keep in mind: booking is only possible with japanese sim-card-phones, therefore Japanese guys seem to „skip“ the queue) We did not wait a second for the table and about 5-10min for the sushi.

People are louder than usually in Japan. As european it was odd that in the Tokyo underground it was more silent than in the Restaurant….😄 but still perfectly fine to dine.

The sashimi tasted good until I puked it back up 2 hours later. I have eaten a lot of sushi in my life, and have never gotten food poisoning before. Honestly there were a few indications that the place is not very sanitary like the chef will use a pen to take your order and then make the dish. The fish tank looks like it was abandoned 15 years ago. Please be careful where you eat! I thought it was safe because of other reviews and that fact it was busy but my stomach tells me otherwise (I also didn’t eat anything else so it had to have been this) also the service was okay but...

I'm by no means a sushi connoisseur, but I do enjoy eating sushi. I love this chain of 24 hours sushi restaurants. Very convenient, they have so many branches in areas with high population density like Ginza or Tsukiji fish market. Their sets are a good deal, but we wanted to eat some extra which were quite affordable.
