Spice Magic Calcutta Minami-guchi — Restaurant in Tokyo

We love the food, and have been several times. However, today, Wednesday January 29th 2020 at about 12:20 we experienced very rude and dismissive service. We entered at a busy time only to get hand signals to wait, no words or greeting although there was an empty table. We wait 10 minutes....the waiter then ushers us out the way to serve outside, and I ask, can we sit down? "No. No!" in a terse voice is the reply. So I say to my companion, let's leave and go elsewhere, but she wants to wait and stay but I say that it's enough and we should go, so she asks again, can we sit at that empty table? "No no!" with a rude dismissive hand wave. I got angry at that...that is TERRIBLE customer service. you should simply say "I'm sorry we are very busy , please wait about 15 minutes" or something like that, right at the BEGINNING when customers enter. Maybe language is an issue, but at least train your staff to have basic level service vocabulary! I never had this issue at any other locations.

Anyway, we got NO explanation, no words, no service. I think the restaurant staff probably don't care, but I will never recommend that restaurant again or set foot in it again. VERY disappointed. 0 stars if at...

Wonder in Indian restaurant how Biriyani tasted like a tomato rice!! Plates served which was unclean(it was with trimmed hairs(!) and i wonder if they trim their beard in kitchen ☹️. Such a worst feeling when we got the plates to serve the food) and they keep on giving the same unclean plates even after reporting and they give the plates even if they notice the tiny hairs in it.. not just one, many.... Disgusting feeling. Tandoori also not fresh and old chicken. I don't recommend this restaurant and wasted my money about...

we were given complimentary starter in papad. Had these 3 dishes , each one was tasty. Thali was super yumm , only thing missed was south indian papad.

Dosa was huge and aloo sabji and chutney were tasty .

Veg kulcha was ok. Aloo jeera was good. Spice and taste was appropriate.

I would certainly go again .
