stopover tokyo — Restaurant in Tokyo

Super cute, small place with outstanding service and available English menu. This is more reminiscent of a small gastro tapas pub in Paris or Amalfi Coast than a Japanese restaurant, but the blend of cultures certainly comedy though in the decor and the fact that they play French movies with Japanese subtitles on a small projection bon the wall.

There seemed to be a second floor but we didn't check that out.

Prices were fair for Japan, with a large (Japan Large, North American medium) beer on tap running you around 550-600 JPY as of the time of this review.

Food is small, tapas-sized but also priced accordingly.

Swung by for some late night beers and gyoza. We will definitely be back! The owner is lovely, running the bar and cooking himself. I had an Oreo sundae on a hot day. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at the value (600¥), as there really wasn't much ice cream in the sundae.. it was mostly cornflakes.. (pictures included)
