I really enjoyed the hotel, because of the wonderful breakfast, nice rooms, and great service. It was also great for our family, much better compared to most other hotels we've stayed at in Tokyo. The fridge, hair dryer and big bathroom were all appreciated. It was also unique to have a tablet on the desk for customers to use when they don't travel with computers. The hotel is very new, so all the amenities are in perfect condition.
Each employees can manage any of the tasks around the hotel; we were never stuck having to wait for someone else that could help us, and the boss was even pitching in with the dishes.
Despite all the positives, the location is far from many sites, with little of note nearby the property. It's close to a JR line, and a couple of metro routes, so there are various options nearby, but it would be good to confirm that one is convenient for the places you'd like to visit, and that you are able to walk the seven to ten minutes, before taking advantage of the wonderful amenities at DDD Hotel. In the end I would have only deducted half a star for this if l was able.
I do not usually pay for hotel breakfasts, but I was happy I did this time. The selection was small, but everything there was of an exceptional quality. The salad was amazing, the bread options including, fresh sourdough and croissants, tasty, the juice and coffee plentiful plus I've never seen such a fancy toaster before. I was late one morning, and they brought the food back out for us to make sure we didn't go hungry. I felt like the employees went out of their way during each interaction to make sure that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
My only recommendation for improvement would be to pad the feet of the beds, just inside the corners, I stubbed my toes a couple of times. The only negative about the room is that there is not a dedicated rack to hang the towels, other than the large handle for the shower door, we had to improvise when finding a place for them to dry.
I am only leaving this review because I really liked the hotel, otherwise I would have forgotten about it like most of the lesser places...
Read moreIn my honest opinion, if the room is just for sleeping, OK. This hotel is the most silent, cheap and functional that can be found in Tokyo.
It is a few meters from Akihabara, bars, shopping, temples, in fact, you can get there by subway, bus or monorail from the airport that the station is literally one block from the hotel. It is self Check-In and the coffee in the hotel is very good but expensive.
There are several themed coffeshops in the area and the unbeatable "family market" and "7 eleven" two blocks away.
The rooms are fine for one person but small for two. There is a small private restaurant on the ground floor that is reserved. The whole environment is dark green with black trims, even the rooms also have that hint of nostalgia.
It is inspiring place for writers. Perfect internet speed for digital nomads.
We don't take the option of breakfast because we want to try local places but still, we was there at lounge with a warm coffe and a book after a long day.
The common areas are very quiet with desk, chairs, sofa lounge and perfect for work also. It was a comfortable...
Read moreI stayed at DDD Hotel the first week of November 2019. The staff are incredible: accommodating, kind, informative, and efficient. There was a minor hiccup with my room not being available the first night, which they settled by refunding that night and comping me a night at a nearby sister hotel and paying the taxi fare, which I felt was above and beyond their call. I was very touched by this.
The amenities in my room were modern and stylish without being ostentatious; the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated that the shower toiletries were in dispensers to avoid unnecessary waste. My room also had a tablet in it, which I found much more useful than a TV. The tablet helped me chart out my days.
The hotel is also fairly centrally located, a short walk from Asakusabashi Station, Kodemmacho Station, and Higashi-Nihombashi Station. The sturdy can even walk straight into Akihabara to experience the Electric City. Both a Mini Stop and a Family Mart are on the block for spot food availability. Check-out was a breeze.
I wish all success to the staff of DDD. Thanks very much for...
