I actually just got back from having dinner here — literally less than an hour ago. Made such a good impression on me thought I should share it with everyone. It’s my first time eating a different kind of ramen in Tokyo. The ones I had before were about the same: chicken/pork based soup, extra garlic and spicy options. I love their Taiyo no cheese ramen (their most popular) which is a tomato based chicken ramen sprinkled generously with cheese. The thick, creamy tomato soup was very tasty without being too salty (quite a lot of Japanese dishes are too heavy on the salt) and the cheese melted the moment I started mixing it in with the noodles and ramen. I’m a slow eater and the cheese stayed perfect the entire 30 mins that I savoured my food — melty and gooey. The cheese was a mild one and blended so well with the tomato based soup/ramen. Customer service here was great and they were very friendly whereas most Japanese servers are curt with non-Japanese speakers. Taitoma even has an English menu. Prices are very reasonable with most of their dishes being below the 1000yen mark. I tried their Fried Cheese dumplings which were melt-in-your-mouth heavenly. Reminded me of crabmeat rangoons. Be sure to try out their other delectable side dishes too. I highly recommend this place and I’m definitely going back to try the rest of their interesting selections — Japanese specialised ramen with a mouthwatering...
Read moreI really love this place! When I come to Tokyo I like to come here as well (mainly for the cheese gyoza). I would definitely recommend getting a plate of cheese gyoza 🥟 The normal Tomatomen with cheese is really good but this time I tried something different. It had bread, sausage and egg which was really tasty! Definitely up for trying another dish when I come next time.
The place is a bit small so sometimes there is a line outside. They do have takeaway options but I have not tried that. They serve chilled tea that you can have while...
Read moreThe best tomato ramen in town. Enjoy the soy milk infused noodles with chicken soup flavored with imported ripe Italian tomatoes, that's the star of the restaurant. Add some freshly ground black pepper and hot olive oil to kick up the flavor profile a notch. The fried chicken wing drumlets is outstanding as well, so don't miss it! The mini risottos are a popular addition for many visitors (add it to your tomato base soup after you are done with the noodles!). This place is popular with the locals and is often busy...
