Tamanoya — Restaurant in Tokyo

Great place to have soba when visiting Jindai Botanical Gardens. (It’s immediately outside the gate into the gardens.) The surrounding trees create a nice atmosphere, and you can sit outside if you wish. And the soba was better than expected. Unlike most soba shops, the soba is juwari (100% buckwheat flour), perfectly cooked, and the soba-yu that they give you at the end of your meal to mix with your leftover noodle sauce is very thick and tasty. Also, the servers are very pleasant, and unusually, you have a choice of regular or thick (inaka-soba) noodles. The tempura set isn’t cheap at ¥1700, but...

Nice soba place in Jindaiji. Usually long queue but not the case of you go after 2pm. We went there for lunch because they appear to be the only soba house that serves flat soba noodle (futoushi inaka). The noodle texture is great and the duck soup for dipping is flavourful. 暑かったのでかき氷を食べに入りました。 かき氷食べ終わって、スマホ見て次どこいこうか探してた、ほんの1分の間に 厨房の男の人がわざわざ出てきて、「スマホの使用禁止してるんで」とか強く言い捨てられて、雑に皿を片付けられてびっくりしました。。 お昼時ではあったものの店内はガラガラだったのにも関わらず笑。 隣のグループの方々もスマホ触ってたらダメってやばくない？って怯えてました。 てかそもそもスマホダメなら写真撮ってる時に言えばいいのにとも思います。 かき氷しか頼まなかったので、早く帰って欲しかったんでしょうね。 だとしても他に言い方あるでしょ。 こちらはお店入る時に、「かき氷だけでも中で食べて大丈夫ですか？」ってきいて許可ももらってから入店していたので、なんだか悲しい気持ちになりました。。。 食べ終わってスマホみながら30分とかなら分かりますけど、本当に1分くらいしかいじってなかったのでびっくりしました！ 監視されているようで怖かったです。 もう絶対行きません。せっかくのお出かけが悲しい気持ちになったし、ホールの女性の方々は丁寧な接客だったのに怖い男の人のせいで台無しです。 ガラガラな理由がわかりました。 夏の暑さでここで涼むのはやめてください。 隣の行列のか...
