TEA TATAMO! 三軒茶屋店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

One of the best matcha lattes I've had in Tokyo. I like very sweet matcha lattes and this rivals Starbucks on sweetness, plus they have matcha shakes. It's about 100 - 200 yen more than Starbucks. Although it's a bit more, since the taste is so close I think I am okay with that to support a local business.

The staff was super friendly and was very chatty, even with my limited Japanese skills. I got to watch them mix the matcha by hand which was neat. The only downside is its not really a sit down place so you generally have to get the drinks to go, so definitely grab one on the way home or to a place to eat! Will definitely...

TEA TATAMO! is a small shop on the side of a busy road. Despite this, its appearance is very charming and welcoming. I ordered a houjicha latte with soymilk. I liked how the menu had alternative milk recommendations for its top drinks; super helpful for those of us who don’t drink dairy milk! Matcha warabi mochi was very good. Got a nice balance of favour and not too sweat. Crepe was slightly dry but with the cream, chocolate and banana it was all good. Private room is a must try especially in the hot weather. Interesting experience sitting in an aircon room watching the people and traffic outside.
